What progress has government made to reduce red tape and improve access to services and information?
The Red Tape Reduction Initiative was launched in 2006 with the goal to reduce regulatory requirements across the Provincial Government by a targeted 25 per cent over three years. That target was met, and has been exceeded with a reduction of over 27 per cent, or more than 83,500 regulatory requirements.
