What progress has City of Westminster Council made in the last year?
Westminster has an established track record of improving its priority services with achievement continuing from a high base for many services. Good progress is being achieved across environment, housing, transport, children and young people’s services, and adult social care. Education is improving with notable developments across primary schools. However, progress across secondary level educational attainment is inconsistent and below national levels at key stages three and four. The Council is making important contributions to wider community outcomes through effective partnerships and community safety initiatives, achieving reductions in street crime, burglary, motor vehicle crime, and reducing the fear of crime in Civic Watch areas.
