What progress has Brent London Borough Council made in the last year?
Brent is performing well and Council services are improving in line with priorities, including education, housing, recycling, street cleaning and social care. Overall satisfaction with the Council is increasing and more than 75 per cent of performance indicators have improved since 2002/03. Effective partnership working has led to major regeneration projects within the Borough, for example Wembley and South Kilburn. The Council works well with partners to tackle issues such as crime. However, some services are showing less improvement, notably waste management. The Council recognises its diverse communities and in response has improved the services it offers such as older people’s services and helping people find work.
