What progress has been made toward the communitys desire to protect open space?
Community funding enabled acquisition of Kinoshita Farm (56.4 acres) for our recreational sports complex in the southwest portion of our City and to protect and maintain natural areas in our northwest portion (68 acres). An additional 109 acres were recently acquired by the City this year, nearly tripling the amount of protected open space/natural areas in our community’s northwest quadrant for the enjoyment of the community and its taxpayers.
