What programs will you offer to the children of CharSam that will provide them with life skills?
The Children of CharSam House will be strongly encouraged to take part in extra curricular activities that will take place on site. These will include Dancing and Drumming lessons given by the Sankofa African Dance Institute; Vocations such as Batik, Tie and Die,Craftsmanship, sewing lessons, lessons on organic farming, Etc. The plans for the actual CharSam House include the development of an organic farm within the vicinity of the Home. Therefore, the Children will have a chance to learn first hand the importance of organic locally grown products.
