For special needs education Saint Dominic’s Home operates two schools: an 853 School in Blauvelt, N.Y., that is a private day school for children with social/emotional challenges and educational deficiencies in kindergarten to grade 8 and a high school program for Life Skills, Independent Living and Vocational Education. In the Bronx, N.Y., Saint Dominic’s Home operates the nationally certified preschool TORCH (To Reach Children), a New York State Approved Bilingual education program that provides a full range of educational and clinical services to special education and non-disabled children, 2.7 to 5.0 years of age.
