I would like to apply to a program, but my Bachelors degree is not in that discipline. Can I still apply to that program? Yes. The department can accept exceptional students with backgrounds in other disciplines. The department will review your background and make recommendations regarding courses needed to correct deficiencies, if any Can I apply for a Ph.D. program without a Master’s degree (i.e. entering with a Bachelor’s degree)? Yes. However, in some cases you may be required to complete a Master’s degree prior to full admission to a Ph.D.
