What programs are available to inmates?
Because the Jennifer Road Detention Center holds a primarily pretrial population, programming is limited to self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, and workshops of short duration. By contrast, the Ordnance Road Correctional Center offers a full menu of programs designed to support sentenced inmates’ successful re-entry to the community. This will vary by facility dependent upon the availability of resources and appropriately trained staff and/or volunteers. Most facilities offer various educational and self-betterment classes as well as substance abuse education. For programs available at a specific facility, visit the ODOC web page and click “Facilities.” Then click the facility in question where you will find the facility telephone number. Call the facility and request to speak to the Case Manager Supervisor.
