What products need to be RoHS compliant; where does it apply?
The RoHS directive, or law, applies to specific equipment, sold for use in the European Union (EU), which has been defined by a section of another EU environmental directive commonly known as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Such equipment includes household appliances, computers, consumer electronics, toys, etc. It is important to note that all wiring and electrical products which become part of a fixed system, including the vast majority of Wiremold products, are not required to meet its restrictions they are out of scope of the RoHS directive.
