What products are used for Hair Straightening/Hair Relaxing?
Products used for hair straightening or hair relaxing are called hair straighteners or hair relaxers and contain either one of the following chemicals as their active ingredient: a. Sodium hydroxide or caustic soda or lye in laymans terms. In the U.S, these products are called Hair Relaxers and usually come in cream form. In the Philippines, a local popular brand is Ahglow Hair Relaxer ((AHGLOW Hair Relaxer)))which contains sodium hydroxide but made milder with additional conditioners.
