What Produces Greenhouse Gases?
The planet Earth endures greenhouse gases that both occur naturally and are man-made (typically in the form of pollution). Levels of greenhouse gases have increased over the last several decades, prompting legitimate concern over the increased warming of the planet, called global warming. Three of the most prevalent forms of greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, methane gas and nitrous oxide. These greenhouse gases hold the heat of the sun in the atmosphere for longer periods of time, resulting in a warming effect on the planet. This extra warming generates warmer climates and seasons than nature intended.
