What processes will be in place for people who need to access information that the service holds on another’s behalf?
Healthcare consumers are often supported by other people when accessing healthcare services. The HI Service will have processes in place that are flexible enough to support the types of arrangements regularly encountered in the healthcare sector, such as a carer or advocate acting for a person with impaired decision-making abilities. The HI Service will have clearly set out arrangements to provide for situations where a person may need to access the Service on another’s behalf.
