First, the Portal administrator should delete the user’s entry from Oracle9iAS Portal. This is done by going through Edit User on the User Portlet (usually found on the administrator’s home page) and clicking Delete on the Edit User tabbed dialog. This removes the user’s privileges, all group memberships of the user, and the Oracle9iAS Portal user entry. Second, the Login Server administrator should delete the user on the Login Server by going to the Login Server Administration page, then Administer Users, Edit User, and Delete. This deletes the user from the Login Server and prevents the user from accessing any partner application through the Login Server. The reason for the two-step process is that a single Login Server may be used for multiple portals or for partner applications other than Oracle9iAS Portal.
