What process for painting floral industry fiberglass items?

++++ We are manufacturing big fiberglass items for the florist industry. We are painting them with acrylic paints sourced locally, and we are experiencing problems with it. What we would like to achieve is finishing it like a car. What are the right steps in painting these items? Currently, we are just painting it with epoxy primer, then acrylic lacquer paint and topping it off with a clear coat/ top coat. We could not eliminate ‘orange peeling’, and having a hard time buffing them to achieve the shine and gloss. Thank you for any leads.
