Specific procedures for the site are part of the permits and are dependent upon background data, mine planning and engineering design. Since April 2007, Powertech has been gathering environmental data and conducting baseline studies for groundwater and surface water hydrology, air, geology, traffic, soil studies, geography, socioeconomic impacts, and other data to support its permit applications to federal, state and local regulatory agencies in the latter part of 2008. Operational, emergency and reclamation plans will be available when the permit application is submitted. Upon granting permits and licenses, the regulatory agencies will issue site-specific conditions that Powertech is required to follow.
