What procedure is required to obtain POD approval?
County Staff Review Before the request is heard by the Board or Commission, the plans are distributed to members of the County staff for review and comment. Prior to the public hearing, a meeting is held between the applicant and/or his representative and the County staff to discuss the proposal in relation to the departmental comments. Planning Commission Review The Planning Department staff presents the proposal to the Planning Commission. The applicant and/or his representative then have the opportunity to respond to the proposal. If there are any other persons present who are interested in the proposal they also have an opportunity to speak. More information about participating in the public hearing process is available. Following discussion of the proposal, the Planning Commission takes action in one of four ways: by either granting approval as submitted, approval with revisions and/or conditions, denial or deferral of the request.
