What problems is Greenstar solving?
Greenstar focuses on the economic, social and cultural development challenges facing villages living off the electric and telecommunication grids. One of the principal barriers to increasing the economic strength in these villages is their dependency on the local, geographically-bounded, market with its finite supply of currency. Our goal is to promote a village-driven process to integrate the indigenous agricultural economy with the world economy, and provide new, highly efficient sources of income realized in hard currencies. Importantly, our strategy is to use a business approach, organized around profit for everyone in the value chain, which creates no debt or other financial liabilities for the villages with whom we partner.
