What problems did KC run into with the orignal Rain Coat project?
Some of the problems we ran into included 1) not being able to buy the nowoven material from KC (even though KC makes it) due to the low volume; 2) not being able to manufacture the rain coat using normal KC processes and thus having to use an external vendor; 3) total cost to manufacture was 75% higher than initial estimates ($1.00 estimate to $1.75 actual); 4) not being able to meet the market need of at least 4 sizes and 3 colors (KC was only able to do one size and one color).
