The following problems may occur when you use histograms: With Oracle Release 9.2.0.6 or higher, the elimination of the above histogram bug may cause performance problems for statements that were optimized when used during the previous incorrect behavior. The same problem may also occur with Oracle 9.2.0.5 or lower if Bind Value Peeking is active. (Refer to Note 690702).
