What privacy features does PVX have ?
Due to the isolated nature of the PVX most of the common intrusions to databases and similar are mitigated. PVX keeps no end user data other than the E.164 number. All servers that need to be accessed as part of the PVX are ACL’d to prevent unauthorised access. Only customer VoIP equipment is allowed to query databases, all connections are arbitrated by the PVX softswitch and therefore the association of any telephony data directly with an end peer is not possible. Session and Presentation Indicators can be turned on or off on a per peer basis. This is useful where, for some reason, those indicators are not being honoured. PVX, in its agreement with customers, stipulates the treatment of these indicators and similar data.
