A. Once the eggs hatch they submerge themselves in water and start eating. Once they start eating the larvae needs oxygen to continue their life cycle so they head directly for light. The trap lid is black, the baffle ring is white, and the side walls are clear. This is the combination that creates a luring pathway for the larvae to follow up through the baffle ring where they are satisfied to stay with light and oxygen above the water line. There they hatch and are trapped with no way to return to bite you!!
