What pressures can the plug withstand?
A pressure chart for Nylon plugs is shown on the leaflet. However, the following points should be noted as these are all factors that will affect the pressure the plugs can withstand. The internal surface of the pipe, the material, the internal diameter. Thin wall pipes distort under pressure allowing plugs to move out easier. If using the plugs near the rated pressure to seal a pipe, it is advised that a device in or on the end of the pipe to stop the plug being pushed out, is used. This is called bracing the plug. Some PE pipes are extremely smooth and plugs can be pushed out easily from the bore of these pipes, even at low pressures.
