What prerequisite courses are required for admission?
The Foster MBA Program does not have prerequisite course requirements for admission. However, our MBA faculty and students have recommended that all new students should begin the program with a shared basic knowledge in two key areas: accounting and statistics. For this reason, students admitted to the Full-time MBA program must either pass a diagnostic test on these subjects or complete a workshop and pass an exam before the start of the program in September. Further information regarding the assessment tests is distributed upon admission to the program.
Prerequisite courses or a demonstrated competency in accounting, economics, computer applications, management, marketing, and business statistics and/or calculus are required for admission into the MBA program. How can I quickly take any prerequisite classes that might be required? Milligan allows students to work on their prerequisites through the Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCP). In turn, the student receives at least 3 credit hours for each course. Milligan’s ADCP program meets one night a week for four hours. Most classes are four to five weeks long. Students also have the option to pursue prerequisites at any accredited institution. Milligan does not offer a challenge exam to exempt prerequisites; however, the admissions committee may waive a prerequisite based on work experience and/or competency.
