–> Preparation for base:- It is one of the most important steps to satisfy the tile installation. Sub flooring should be good in structure, solid, smooth, flat and free of oily or waxy layers. These are the steps to be followed while preparing for the base: Measure the size of the floor on which you have to lay the tiles. You can use chalk-line to measure the level of the floor. Use flat side of the trowel to spread one coat of thin set of base concrete or RCC (Reinforced, unbreakable, cement concrete) slab on which the tiles are to be laid and then apply another coat using rough side of trowel. –> Base concrete should be cleaned, wet and wiped. Place the tiles one at a time in the thin set by twisting, pressing and allowing proper space for the grout (a powder mixed with water that dries quickly). –> Apply grout to the tiles to hold the tiles together in place.
