Outdoor weather station elements (such as temperature sensor, anemometer and the rain gauge) are powered by the solar power and have 2 AA alkaline or (for the winter time) lithium batteries for the backup. BTHR968 as an indoor element powers by 4 AAA alkaline batteries and the control display (receiver) powers by AC adapter and 4 AA alkaline batteries for the backup.
