What power source does Pet Porte use?
In order to provide the best reliability Pet Porte runs on a 12v power supply provided by a low voltage adaptor you simply plug in. This allows for continuous scanning and ensures that the door will open as quickly as possible (in as little as 1/20th of a second) – if your cat needs to run inside. As a battery backup you can insert a 9 volt battery into the Smart Flap so that it will continue to operate if there is a power cut. If no power socket is available you can run the Smart Flap on battery power only if you wish.
