What potential solutions are envisioned regarding discrepancies in using self-reported GPAs?
• Self reported GPAs are currently being used by the University of Washington, University of Wisconsin – Madison, and UCLA and are found to be accurate. Graduate Admissions will monitor GPA accuracy as part of the ongoing review of the redesigned process. • Upon request, Graduate College staff will compute the GPA for students recommended for admission. • How should we interpret international transcripts? • What happens when the one and only paper file is lost? Internal tracking controls will be instituted in the Graduate College to track files from the point they leave the Graduate College. • What equipment will be needed by academic units? ASU’s Information Technology department has published a recommended desktop configuration.
