What position does Zeynep Sumer hold in the Greater New York Hospital Association?
Zeynep Sumer, Assistant Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety is responsible for leading a number quality initiatives, assisting members with quality improvement activities as well as working on issues related to health information technology and nursing workforce. Prior to joining GNYHA, Ms. Sumer worked for IPRO, the quality improvement organization for New York State, under a quality improvement contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. In this role, she led the implementation of a number of programs to provide technical assistance in quality improvement as well as implementation of electronic health records for several hundred-physician practices in New York State. Ms. Sumer holds a Masters of Science in Health Communication from Tufts University School of Medicine and a BA in Communication from Michigan State University.
