ProEdgeTrader uses port 9200 for orders and port 9201 for data. To check if these ports are open on your computer go to “Start” > “Run” and type “cmd” (without quotes) and press “OK”. This will open the comand prompt window where you will type the following, (without quotes): ” telnet prod.openecry 9200″ and then press enter on your keyboard. If you get foreign characters, this verifies communication to port 9200 and means this port is open. If you get an error message then the firewall is blocking the port.
