What portion of IDEA, Part B and IDEA, Part B, Preschool can be used for CEIS services?
School districts may use up to 15 percent of their Part B funds for CEIS services. Some school districts may be required to spend the full 15 percent of both IDEA, Part B and IDEA, Part B, Preschool due to significant disproportionality. LEAs that are required to use the full 15 percent for CEIS will not be able to take advantage of any of the flexibility for local MOE reduction that would otherwise be available under IDEA.
