What portion of educational costs do student tuition fees cover?
According to the Canadian Federation of students, tuition and other user fees accounted for an average of 18 per cent of an institution’s operating budget in 1990-91, on a national basis. By 1998-99, the average had risen to 32 per cent. At Camosun College, tuition today accounts for about 18-19 per cent of the operating budget.
