We house homeless women and their children who are from Planning District 16, which includes the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline. In order to be considered for housing at Hope House you must have at least one child with you or be pregnant with a child at the time you are referred to Hope House. Please refer to “Referral Process” for information on how to be referred for our services. • How long does the program last? Residents may stay at Hope House for up to 24 months. The average stay is 18 months. We also offer 6 months of after case management services once a resident has moved into independent housing. • Can I come to Hope House if my children are in foster care and I am trying to regain custody of them? No. Women who are accepted to Hope House must have a child with them or be pregnant. • Can my 18 year old child come to Hope House with me if they are not yet living independently?
