The first platforms addressed by USGCB are Microsoft’s Windows 7, Windows 7 Firewall, and Internet Explorer 8. Once the settings for these platforms are finalized, NIST, where applicable and appropriate, will reconcile the differences to the existing FDCC platforms to include Windows Vista, Vista Firewall, Windows XP, XP Firewall, and Internet Explorer 7. Candidate settings for MAC OS X and Red Hat Enterprise systems should be available soon.
