What plants should i add to my finch/quail aviary?
Having bred finch and quail which I kept together in an aviary, I can help you out here! You don’t need to purchase any plants! The perfect thing would be make plants by doing the following and which they will surely enjoy: When you are at the feed store, get a little scoop of each of the various bulk grains they are selling. Get some sand and rinse it thoroughly. Fill some pots which have drain holes in the bottom within 1 1/2 inch of the top with sand. Sprinkle a thick layer of the various seeds on top of the sand then cover with 1/2 inch of sand then water. You can make as many of these plants as you wish. Your birds will love them! My parakeets used to roll in the sprouts/shoots after I’d mist them with water as well as eat the shoots/blades which are VERY good for them! (Greens are far better for them than dried up seeds!) They also love the various mints!
