What plants can I grow under pine trees?
A ground cover called snow on the mountain or dead nettle would grow well there. Add some composted manure to the soil and rake it in. it may take a couple of seasons for the plants to become established, but they grow wonderfully under my pines. English ivy is another option, but you must be vigilant about keeping it from climbing up the trees. perriwinkle is another you can try.
