What plans does Pan-IIT hold for rural India?
It is a myth floating around about IITians that all of them are abroad. But the ground reality is that about 10 pc of ex-IITians are in government and social sectors. A large percentage of population has come back and is leading either research institutions or industries in the country. The study points out that among the IITians who had graduated before 2001, four out of 10 are in top leadership roles in corporations, educational institutions, research labs, NGOs, governmental agencies, politics and as entrepreneurial heads. . The theme of PAN IIT this year is ‘Inspire, Innovate and Transform.’ How do the IIT alumni aim to achieve this? This conference is expected to inspire at least 3,000 IITians to join the movement. They will be asked to participate in projects that will be unleashed after the event. We are always in need of a large pool of volunteers and resources for our projects.
