What plans does Abu Dhabi have for the future?
Most of Abu Dhabi’s ongoing multi-billion dollar development projects are found in Al Reem Island and Saadiyat Islands, while the rest are situated along the underdeveloped fringes of Abu Dhabi city. Total construction and real-estate developments in Abu Dhabi over the long term could reach USD $270 billion. Abu Dhabi is actively diversifying its economy through investments in financial services and especially tourism. Saadiyat Island will be home to the world renowned Louvre and Guggenheim Museums. In addition, Abu Dhabi will have three further cultural focal points: The Performing Arts Centre, The Sheikh Zayed National Museum and The Maritime Museum.
