In recognition of the need to support interoperability between existing Read Code versions and SNOMED CT to support key strategic initiatives, such as Pathology messaging, a SNOMED CT enabled Bounded Code List has been developed. Having initially mapped the Pathology concepts from CTV3 to SNOMED CT a fully integrated PBCL is provided in SNOMED CT subset format within the SNOMED CT UK release.
