Fort William: Built by Robert Clive in the year 1781. Academy of Fine Arts: Gallery of contemporary art with paintings and sculptures of India from 1900 to the present day. Asiatic Society: Established in 1784. Collections include valuable portraits and sculptures. There is a library in the general section that has over 100000 volumes.Top of the Page Asutosh Museum of Indian Art: Named after the great educationist Asutosh Mookerjee. This museum was set up for the purpose of collecting, preserving and exhibiting objects of Indian art and antiquity with special emphasis on Bengal. Museum was established in 1937.
