What placement tests are used for DL students?
For ESL or Citizenship, you may use an oral placement test (OPT), such as a SCAT (Speaking/Comprehension Assessment Test). You may also use any appropriate written test, such as the ones used by your school for the traditional ESL and Citizenship classes. Parenting and GED placement may be based on the TABE test, counselor referral or teacher judgment.
