Piranhas are legal in MD (just to clear that up) but Im not sure of any place there that sells em, I dunno where at in Maryland you are but they’re legal in all the states around you (except here in VA) so you could do a search on yellowpages.com for all petstores in like 100mile radius (if you’re willing to drive that far!) and just call around, or post a wanted ad on craigslist, you could also join a forum like monsterfishkeepers.com they have a marketplace section for people looking to buy and sell and I know they have a section on there for the DC/MD/VA area and theres a lot of people on there from MD so if you still dont have any luck you could ask one of them.

You don’t want piranhas. All they do is eat and eat and eat. . . Try the Tiger Oscar, Pacu or Gold Datenoid. These fish are beautiful when fully grown. They too can eat minnows, gold fish, frogs, etc. . .
