Name, age, date of original employment or appointment to the State service, current position, title, current salary, date and amount of most recent increase or decrease in salary, date of most recent promotion, demotion, transfer, suspension, separation, or other change in position classification, and the office or station to which the employee is currently assigned
Most personnel file information is confidential and may not be disclosed except under certain circumstances, such as the employee s written consent to its release. However, nine items of information about a public employee are public information under North Carolina law and must be provided to any member of the public who requests them: name, age, date of original employment or appointment to service, current position, title, current salary, date and amount of most recent change in salary, date of most recent position change, and office to which the employee is currently assigned.
