What personal information is collected?
Membership, sales and registration transactions or donations: Opera.ca may collect personal information such as email address, home fax number, and credit card information from individuals becoming members, attending conferences, workshops or meetings, purchasing publications or making donations. Individual applicants to the Artist Development Awards of the Canadian Opera Creation Program: Opera.ca may collect personal information pertinent to the administration and adjudication of the Canadian Opera Creation Program. This may include educational and professional background and other information applicants to the program may share with Opera.ca. Opera.ca governance: Personal contact information for board members, personnel and panel and committee members may be offered by such individuals and will be maintained in a database by designated Opera.ca personnel. 4chan only collects and stores user information for active posts. Once a post is pruned or deleted, it is removed from our servers permanently. We value the privacy of our users, and will not make private information such as IP addresses available to others. We will however, comply with valid court orders and cooperate with law enforcement agencies when necessary. Note that: due to the immense storage constraints we face, logs files are automatically rotated (daily) and removed (monthly) to make room for new ones.
The Beach only collects personal information on a voluntary basis. If an online visitor submits information to The Beach, it will usually take the form of either: (1) the purchase of goods or services through our online stores, (2) product registration or registration for online contest participation, (3) message boards, (4) warranty registrations, (5) contest registrations, (6) a consumer complaint, and/or (7) surveys. Personal information collected may include your name, home address, phone number, e-mail address, age, gender, and/or birth date. We do not require this information to gain access to our sites, however, you will not be able to access certain areas that require registration or receive materials such as newsletters unless such information is provided. Visitors purchasing products or services through our online stores will be required to provide additional information such as a valid credit card number and expiration date.
