What “personal equipment” am I required to purchase to learn to scuba dive?
While we can easily supply the wetsuit and scuba unit from our rental fleet, certain items are personal in nature and you will be required to purchase them. These items include a scuba diving mask, a snorkel, a pair of diving fins, neoprene boots, and a weight system. These items come in a variety of styles and colors, to suit your personal finances and your styles and tastes. While it is difficult to exactly predict how much you will spend, most students spend around $300 on their personal gear.
