An Architectural Review permit is required for any deck on a waterfront property and/or any deck that is closer than 5′ to a property line and is over 18″-high. For more information, please refer to the Permits and Forms section of the City’s website or call the Planning/Code Enforcement Division at 650/286-3225 and ask to speak with the Planner on duty.
