What performance opportunities are available in the Pre-College Program?
There are two main concerts in January and May on which all chamber groups perform. A concerto competition in the Fall gives the opportunity for two winners to perform on the University Orchestra’s annual Children’s Concert. Other performances in local venues are also scheduled throughout the year. In addition, students admitted to the Pre-College Program have the opportunity to audition for the Stony Brook Wind Ensemble, University Orchestra and Chorale. Discounted tickets to Music Department concerts and Staller Center events are also available.
