What Percentage of Primary Care Physicians Use Electronic Health Record Systems?
Twenty-eight percent of U.S. primary care physicians use electronic health record systems, compared with 99% of primary care physicians in Finland and 100% of primary care physicians in Sweden, according to a new Information Technology & Innovation Foundation report. According to the report, 89% of primary care physicians in the United Kingdom use EHRs, while 42% of German primary care physicians, 23% of Canadian primary care physicians and 10% of Japanese physicians use EHRs. Results are based on an analysis of available English-language literature and data on EHR adoption.
