What percentage of Bayer’s business in China comes from the medical device industry?
For us, it is very important not to look just at the numbers; long-term partnerships are also important, especially in the medical device sector. We have to be a reliable supplier, and be right next to our customers to really understand which direction they are going, and what we can do to support them. [Medical] is actually one of the most important business segments for us. Our strength is that we are a global partner with a local presence. This is especially relevant in the medical device industry, because our global network enables us to support our customers internationally. We have decades of experience, for example, in the United States and Europe, which includes expertise in regulatory affairs. We can share this knowledge with the local Chinese market to help our customers handle regulatory affairs. And so, I can only say that the medical sector is a very important segment for us. Q: What are some of the challenges you have encountered in developing the Chinese market, and how
