What pencil crayons are the best on sketch pad paper?
If you’re looking for generic type colored pencils and not artist quality, any of the colored pencils at WalMart will do. They generally carry Laurentian, Roseart, and Crayola. One step above this in quality and carried at WalMart are Prismacolor Scholar Colored Pencils. These are better quality than the previously mentioned brands and are more expensive, but the quality is superior but not quite artist quality. Michaels has started to carry their own brand of art supplies under the name of Artist Loft. The colored pencils in this line are good enough for sketch pad paper, but are not artist quality. A package of 36 is about $7.00. There is also a package of metallic colours in this brand as well as watercolor pencils and colored markers. Again, all these are about $7.00.
