The specific 1-Box hardware configuration you deploy will depend to a large extent on the type of applications that will be running on the system. Most applications take a minimal amount of CPU time when running, however some large applications can take up a substantial portion of the processor’s time during the initial load. Games, video, animation and other processor intensive applications will increase the overall system requirements and/or will reduce the number of Desktops that a single 1-Box system can effectively support. Clearly an application that uses 90% of the processor’s capacity will severely slow other users. Typically a 10-Station system running a standard Browser and Office Suite software can use any recent model computer equipped with about 1GB of RAM.
